Tomorrowland NFT Guide

The Tomorrowland NFT Project was launched for Tomorrowland Winter 2022 and is an initiative by Tomorrowland that offers digital collectibles in the form of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). These NFTs are unique digital works of art that are stored on the Solana blockchain and offer owners special benefits and experiences.

Collections and medallion of Memoria

The project includes several NFT collections, including:

• The Reflection of Love
• A Letter from the Universe
• The Symbol of Love and Unity

Owners who have an NFT from each of these three collections can assemble the Medallion of Memoria.

Disclaimer

Tomorrowland NFTs, like all other NFTs, are a high-risk investment product. The value of NFTs can fluctuate sharply at any time, up to and including a total loss. You should be aware of this before investing and should therefore only invest money that you are not reliant on and can afford to lose in case of doubt.

NFT stands for Non-fungible token. It is a unique code that can not be copied, meaning whatever NFT you buy is unique to you and no one else can fake ownership of it. Usually you'll be buying (minting) uniquely individual digital artworks created by artists.

Some NFTs, like Tomorrowland's, allow owners to receive benefits (utility) in the form of digital/physical items and enhancements. Because you own the NFT, you are able to sell your NFT at any time. It is an asset worth money that belongs to you. All NFTs are purchased in crypto currency, because the NFT sits on the blockchain of a specific currency.

In short, you are buying and holding unique art pieces that will give you benefits with Tomorrowland in the digital and physical spaces. More information can be found on the Tomorrowland NFT site

The Medallion, also known as the Medallion of Memoria, is not an NFT in its own right, but rather describes the exclusive perks that are granted to a person as soon as they own an NFT from each of the three Tomorrowland NFT Collections.

The actual price for individual NFTs or even an entire Medallion (three NFTs) can fluctuate greatly. This is because the NFTs can only be bought on the secondary market and the selling prices here are set by the current owners and, above all, determined by market conditions. The Solana exchange rate to your currency is also crucial.

With our NFT tracker, you can always see the current value of each NFT and an entire medallion, as well as historical data. Here you can also see rough trends when the NFTs were cheaper, but of course this is no guarantee and depends heavily on what is happening in the market.

The benefits of Tomorrowland NFTs have changed over the years and can be divided into guaranteed benefits and additional, non-guaranteed benefits.

Important: you must have at least one medallion to be able to use the perks (see Medallion), but some perks require more than one medallion.

Guaranteed benefits

At the moment, Tomorrowland guarantees the following benefit(s) for Medallion holders:

• Access to the Tomorrowland Belgium (Summer) NFT Ticket Sale with a guarantee to buy two tickets (per Medallion). There is no guarantee of a specific ticket type and, depending on availability, even the types of the two tickets may vary.

Non-guaranteed benefits

In the past, Tomorrowland has provided Medallion Holders with some additional but non-guaranteed benefits. These include, among others:

• Exclusive NFT Global Journey & Friendship Garden Sales for Tomorrowland Belgium
• Exclusive NFT Ticket Sale for Tomorrowland Winter
• Exclusive NFT Ticket Sale for Tomorrowland Brasil
• Exclusive shifts at the Mainstage Restaurant at Tomorrowland Belgium
• Raffles for the Night-Before Tour, access to Secret Stages or the Friendship Deck at Tomorrowland Belgium
• Exclusive discount codes for Solo Vida or Ridley
• Exclusive Pre-Sales for Tomorrowland merchandise & products

Changes of the benefits

Due to the increasing popularity and other factors, Tomorrowland has repeatedly adjusted the benefits of the NFTs in recent years. Most recently, for example, in November 2024, the number of guaranteed tickets for Tomorrowland Belgium was reduced from the original four to two from the 2026 edition.

To gain access to the exclusive NFT benefits, you must link your Solana Wallet to the Matrica platform. In addition to your Solana Wallet, you can now also link your e-mail address and your Discord account. If possible, the e-mail address should match that of your Tomorrowland account and must be confirmed.

Community Discord

All announcements about the NFT project will take place on the official Tomorrowland Community Discord. It is therefore essential that you create a Discord account and join the Tomorrowland Discord if you have not already done so. Once you have joined Discord, you can also link your Discord account to your Matrica profile.

After joining the Discord, you can press the button in the #nft-verification Discord channel. If everything is correctly linked to Matrica, you will receive the appropriate NFT roles on the Discord and thus also access to the #nft-announcements channel. In this channel, all important announcements for Pre-Sales, perks and other important information will be shared.

If you need help or encounter problems, you can always open a support ticket on the Discord in the channel #support-tickets.

Important: This is the only official information channel. There is no newsletter and the official Tomorrowland NFT portal is no longer actively maintained at the moment.

Matrica

Matrica is the connecting element between the Tomorrowland community and the blockchain where the NFTs are stored. It is important that your Matrica account is absolutely secure at all times and that the data is up to date. Otherwise, you may not be able to access the benefits even though you are a Medallion Holder.

Access to all benefits such as ticket sales and other benefits is managed exclusively via Matrica. Other platforms are currently not in use and potentially scam / unsafe.

Snapshots / Access for NFT Ticket Sales

Access to NFT ticket sales is highly regulated and requires pre-registration via Matrica. There is a so-called snapshot to ensure that all participants in the NFT sale are actually entitled to access. This involves checking after pre-registration whether a participant really has enough NFTs to take part and has not sold them, for example. The exact instructions will always be posted in the #nft-announcements channel shortly before pre-registration.

In order to be able to buy Tomorrowland NFTs at all, we need a Solana Wallet as a first step. A Solana wallet is a digital tool that allows you to store, send, and receive SOL, the native cryptocurrency of the Solana blockchain. It also enables you to interact with decentralized applications (DApps), such as NFT marketplaces and DeFi platforms. Each wallet comes with a public address (used to receive funds) and a private key (used to access and control the funds).

Your wallet also has a recovery phrase (a set of 12 or 24 words), which is essential for recovering access to your funds. Never share your recovery phrase with anyone, as it gives full access to your wallet.

Now, let’s go through the process of creating a Solana wallet step by step.

Step 1: Choose a Wallet

There are multiple Solana-compatible wallets available. Some of the most popular ones include:

• Phantom (browser extension & mobile app)
• Sollet (browser extension)
• Solflare (browser extension & mobile app)

For this guide, we will use Phantom Wallet, as it is one of the most user-friendly options.

Step 2: Install Phantom Wallet

For Web Browsers (Chrome/Firefox)

1. Open your web browser and go to the official Phantom website: www.phantom.com.
2. Click on "Add to Chrome" (or your respective browser).
3. Confirm the installation of the extension.

For Mobile Devices

1. Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Search for "Phantom Wallet".
3. Download and install the app.

Step 3: Create a new Wallet

1. Open the Phantom Wallet extension or mobile app.
2. Click "Create a new wallet".
3. A recovery phrase (12 words) will be displayed. Write it down and store it securely offline. This phrase is the only way to restore your wallet if you lose access.
4. Confirm your recovery phrase by entering the required words.
5. Set up a password for the wallet (only required for the browser extension).
6. Congratulations! 🎉 Your Solana wallet is now created and ready to use.

With your Solana Wallet, you can now buy Tomorrowland NFTs on the crypto marketplace “Magic Eden”. There are two ways to buy here: with the cryptocurrency Solana or by credit card.

Before you can make a purchase, you need to link your Solana wallet to Magic Eden. To do that, simply go to magiceden.io and click on the button in the upper right corner. After that, simply follow the steps until you are successfully registered.

Now you can decide which NFT you want to buy. In theory, it doesn't matter how expensive the NFT is, they all have the same function in the end. To select an NFT for purchase, first choose one of the three collections:

• A Letter from the Universe
• The Reflection of Love
• The Symbol of Love and Unity

After you have selected the desired NFT collection, you can choose one of the NFTs listed for sale. The current purchase price is displayed in SOL (Solana), but if you click on the NFT, a popup with more information will also open where the price is also displayed in US dollars. Once you have selected the NFT you want, there are two options for purchasing it.

Buy Tomorrowland NFTs with Solana (SOL)

Option number one is to purchase with the Solana (SOL) cryptocurrency. To do this, you must have sufficient SOL funds available on your Wallet connected to Magic Eden. If you don't have enough SOL on your wallet, you can exchange traditional currencies (fiat money) for SOL on crypto exchanges like Coinbase or Binance. This step requires additional effort (e.g. certification processes by the crypto exchanges) and is only recommended if you have the appropriate basic knowledge of the crypto market. Alternatively, you can exchange other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Etherum for Solana and use them for your purchase.

Once you have enough SOL in your wallet to make a purchase, you can complete the purchase with just a few clicks. The NFT will be transferred to your wallet immediately afterward.

Buy Tomorrowland NFTs with Credit Card

For beginners and “crypto amateurs”, the second option is the easier one: buying with a credit card. In this case, the payment is processed via your conventional credit card for a small additional fee through the provider “Crossmint”. Again, the NFT will be transferred directly to your wallet after a successful purchase and should be visible and usable immediately.

Please note: the amount of the crossmint fee depends on the purchase price of the NFT and can be correspondingly higher. Furthermore, your transaction is only anonymous to a limited extent, contrary to the blockchain principle.

NFTs are sold, as are purchases, via the Magic Eden crypto marketplace. To sell your NFT(s), simply go to magiceden.io and click on the button in the upper right corner to sign in and open your wallet. Once your wallet is linked to Magic Eden, you will see a list of all your NFTs. You will now find a “List” button for each NFT, which you can use to offer your NFTs for sale. After clicking on the button, you can now set your desired selling price and other settings.

Important: you can only offer your NFT for sale. There is no guarantee that a buyer for your NFT will be found. Only when someone else accepts your offer to sell and buys your NFT is the transaction completed and you will receive the purchase price in SOL transferred to your wallet.

Sales are final. Once your sale is finalized, the transaction cannot be reversed. By selling your NFT(s), you also (potentially) lose your Medallion of Memoria and thus all the benefits of the NFT project.
